Immaterial Dances (2019)
Produced in conjunction with the exhibition “Art + Landscape STL” at G-CADD (Granite City Art and Design District), Immaterial Dances confronts two operative tropes of dance—its ephemerality and the promise of a culminating, synthesizing, and substantiating event.
This series of structured dance improvisations investigates choreographic scores that run in direct, potentially petulant, opposition to conventions of dance as they relate to notions of site-specificity and landscape.
Some performances were open to the public at various times throughout the run of the exhibition. Others were tracked, documented, and archived here.
